FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR MRS. HOOPER AT COWARTS TODAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Aaron [Mary] Hooper, wife of Aaron Hooper, prominent citizen of Caney fork and Chairman of the County Board of Elections, were held this morning at Cowarts, by Rev. J.C. Gentry, her pastor, and interment was in the Coward cemetery.
Mrs. Hooper, who was 63 years of age, was a native of this county and a member of a pioneer family. She is survived by her husband, four sons, Ray and Warren Hooper of Brevard, Lyle Hooper of Cowarts, and Glenn Hooper of Seattle, Washington; by three daughters, Mrs. Inez Arrington of Asheville, Mrs. Ethel Narrance of Seattle, Washington, and Miss Lucille Hooper of Cowarts; by the grandson, Joseph B. Arrington of Asheville; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Brown of Canton, and Mrs. Woodie Hooper and Mrs. Maude Coward of Cowarts; and by a large number of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Hooper had been ill for several months.
