CHESTER, Iowa -- The funeral for JoEtta H. Dohlman will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Le Roy Lutheran Church, with the Revs. Tom Kolden and Rhea Evanson co-officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Dohlman, 62, of Chester, a cook and bartender, died Sunday night in the emergency room of Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
JoEtta H. Wierson was born July 26, 1937, in Roland, Iowa, and graduated from Le Roy High School in 1955. On June 10, 1955, she married Floyd Dohlman at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He died in 1990. Mrs. Dohlman had worked at a number of jobs and at the time of her death was a cook and bartender at Laddy's Bar and Grill. She enjoyed the outdoors and gardening.
Survivors include five daughters, Connie (Mrs. Rick) Granahan of Le Roy, Rhonda (Mrs. John) Larson and Pam Edwards, both of Chester, Sandra (Mrs. Joe) Burke of Lime Springs, Iowa, and Valerie (Mrs. David) Schroeder of Elma, Iowa; a son, William of the Red Wing Care Center; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Charlotte Sandve of Ames, Iowa, Helen Swenson and Norma Stevens, both of Le Roy, and Marlene Kellogg of Taopi; and a brother, Jerry Wierson of Ostrander. An infant son preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Hindt-Hutchins Funeral Home in Le Roy and an hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
