DAVID KANODE (sic) died Monday night at his home, in Sharpsburg, from softening of the brain, aged 66 years. He was one of the foremost citizens of Sharpsburg and highly respected.
During his boating career on the canal he was presented with a medal for being adjudged the best boatman along the thoroughfare.
He is survived by these children: Mrs. Fannie Renner, Aaron, Harvey and John Kanode (sic), all of Sharpsburg.
He was a member of the Episcopal Church. Also a member of Magnolia Lodge, K. of P., who will attend the funeral in a body.
Funeral this afternoon with services at the Episcopal Church.
