Mrs. Mary W. Anderson, age 75, of Macclenny, Florida, died Monday April 26, 1999. She was a native of Lakeland, Georgia and had resided in Jacksonville before moving to Macclenny fifty-five years ago. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Rentzy Kirkland Williams and the widow of the late Johnnie Malachi "J.C.'' Anderson. She was a former manager of Claude's Motel, Macclenny, FL and retired from Northeast Florida State Hospital, Macclenny, FL as a nursing aid after 18 years of service. She was a loving and dedicated mother and attended the Baldwin, FL Church of God. Survivors include four daughters, Cleo (Sam) O'Steen of Mayo, FL, Esther M. Griffis and Lavonne (Tony) Brumfield, both of Macclenny, and Genevieve (Larry) Lucas of Lake City, FL; three sons, Clyde (Mary Lou) Anderson of Glen St.Mary, FL, Johnnie Wayne (Ruby) Anderson and Michael (Sherrie) Anderson, both of Macclenny; two sisters, Bea Allen of Nashville, GA and Alberta Pecor of Baldwin, FL sixteen grandchildren and twenty five great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her son, Charles Edward Anderson. Funeral services will be conducted at 1PM Thursday, April 29, in the Macclenny Church of God with Rev. Shannon Conner, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Taylor Cemetery, Taylor, FL.
