The Windfall community lost
another good citizen Wednesday
morning when death claimed Bert
Scott, who formerly resided in
the Scirclevllle community. For
some time he had been in poor
health, suffering from heart
trouble, but had only been, confined
to his Bed for the past ten days.
Bert Scott was born October 22,
1883, the son of Rustine and
Mary Scott, pioneer settlers of
the Scircleville community. When
a young: man he was united in
marriage to Miss Ethel Reed of
Kirklin and they established their
home in the Scircleville neighborhood,
remaining there until about
seven or eight years ago, when
they moved to their present farm
south of Windfall, where the
death occurred..
Besides Mrs. Scott, the deceased
is survived by seven children,
six boys, Ross of Oxford;
Garth of Indianapolis; and Keith
Rustine, Robert and Garland, all
at home; one daughter, Mrs.
Gladys Wooldridge of Sharps-
ville; a sister. Mrs. Octa Phillips
of Scircleville, and two brothers
Charles Scott of Mechanicsburg
and Oscar of Scircleville.
The funeral arrangements have
not yet, been completed, but it is
probable that burial will take
place in the Scott cemetery south
of Scircleville.
Bert Scott was a man who was
loved by all who knew him and
he and his family have many dear
friends who will mourn the passing
of this man whose friendship
they cherished.
