Jesse was born to Isaac Anderson(1822-aft.1880) and Martha E. Burkett-Anderson(1832-1900)in Greene County, Tennessee on the 25th of Januray 1856.

Jesse married Sarah Hendry on the 5th day of November 1883 in Greene County, Tennessee. They together had 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls: Arthur Lee, Maude Jane, Thorton Alvin(Nick), Walter Doak, Pearl and Effie Anderson, all born in Greene County, Tennessee.

Jesse and Sarah Anderson moved to Oklahoma(Indain Terr.), with all their children, aft. 1900, setting in Indian Township, Payne County, Oklahoma, purchasing 160.27 acres in the NE quarter of Section 8 in the Indian Township, Payne County, Oklahoma. He, with the help of his sons, farmed that land till his death in 1930. Their family home is still located East of Cushing, Payne County, Oklahoma, in what was once Indian City, Payne County, Oklahoma.
