Ron Simonek, 53, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at his residence. Private family graveside services were held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton.
He was born on May 17, 1955, in Big Spring, Texas, and married Christene Hendricks on October 15, 2008 in Big Spring, Texas.
He graduated from Stanton High School in 1973 and received his Associates Degree from Howard College. He had worked in the oil field most of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Christene Simonek of Big Spring; two daughters, Emily Simonek of Austin and Elizabeth De Los Reyes of Apple Valley, California; one son, Cameron Allen of Big Spring; his mother, Mary Lou Simonek of Haltom City; two brothers, Kenneth Simonek of Dallas and Dennis Simonek of Lewisville; and one sister, Gloria Whitaker of Haltom City.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Simonek; and his twin brother, Don Simonek.
