August 2, 1960 - September 14, 2008
Andreas "Andy" Wilfried Armbrust, age 48 of Easton, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 14 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. Born August 2, 1960 in Bremerhaven, Germany he was the son of Frida Wuscheck Stelling of Langen, Germany and the late Berthold Armbrust. He was a graduate of the Edie Stein Schule, and also studied Marine Biology for 2 yrs. He was of the protestant faith. Prior to his illness, Andreas was a bus driver for Martz Trailways. Previously, while living in Europe, he was a bus driver for 15 years with the MVV Bus Company in Firth, Germany. He also served in the German Army as a medic. Andreas enjoyed playing music and making others laugh as he was always quick with a joke. He was very compassionate and gave up his life in Germany to live in the United States with the woman who made him happy. He and his wife, the former Cheryl Young, celebrated 9 beautiful years together with plans for a renewal of vows later this month in Disney World surrounded by family, friends and Mickey & Minnie Mouse. Andreas accomplished his dream to become a U.S. citizen on March 25, 2008 when he took the Allegiance Oath, forgoing all other countries. He proudly pledged alliance to the U.S. where he was hoping to cast his first vote in the Presidential Election November, 2008. Andreas was an asset to our country and always gave 100% of himself to his job, friends and family. Along with his wife and mother, Andreas is survived by; 1 step-son, John-Robert Terraciano at home; 1 daughter, Anika Osmers; 1 furry son "Midnight";3 sisters, Dr. Hanne-Lore Armbrust, Edeltraut Morris and her husband William all of Orlando, Florida and Renate Reinhardt of Sandstedt, Germany; sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Young Cookson and her husband Paul, 2 furry nieces "Maggie May" and "Lexie Lulu" and mother-in-law, Beryl Young all of Forks Township; nephews, Stephen Reinhardt of Hamburg, Germany and William Morris and niece, Dr. Angelika Welch, of Florida; 1 grandson, Bruce Osmers. A funeral service will be held, Friday September 19, 2008 at 11:00am in the Schmidt Funeral Home, PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth, Pa with the Reverend Ernest Shaffer officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call 7:00pm 9:00pm, Thursday evening, and again 1 hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will be at Arndt's Cemetery. To those who wish to honor Andy's memory, donations can be made to St. Peter's U.C.C., PO Box 188, Tatamy, Pa. 18085-0188.
