Funeral services were held at the American Lutheran Church at Huron Wednesday for Mrs Eda Arhart, 74, who died in a Huron hospital June 23. The Rev. Erling Erickson officiated. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery at Lane.
Mrs Arhart was born Dec 10, 1882 to August and Amelia Scheel. The first white child in Alpena township. She was married Dec 20, 1900 to William Arhart and they made their home in Jerauld County until 1940 when they moved to Huron. She is survived by two sons. Henry of Huron and Mrs Oscar Loberg of Luck, Wis; 18 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one sister Mrs Lousia Clodt of Wessington Springs. Her Husband preceded her in death in 1952.
