Vesta A. "Betty" Douthart, 82, of Stockport died at 12 a.m. Thursday, September. 15, 1988 at the Good Samaritan Home, Keosauqua.
Born May 23, 1906, in Salem, she was the daughter of C.J. and Vecta Lamm Hallowell. She married Melvin "Bill" Endersby. He died Nov. 1 1960. She then married Calvin Douthart Dec. 18, 1961, in Stockport.
She grew up in the Salem Community, lived in Hillsboro and moved to Stockport in 1961. She was a 1929 graduate of Iowa Wesleyan Collage.
Surviving are her husband and two cousins.
Visitation will be at the Burch-Raymond Funeral Home, Birmingham. The service for Mrs. Douthart is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Burch-Raymond Funeral Home, Birmingham. Burial will be in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Good Samaritan Activity Fund.
