Clarence A. AUSTIN was born October 1, 1925, in Lorimor, the son of John and Lula Austin. Before coming to Iowa City as manager of the store July 1, 1953, he had lived in Des Moines for 10 years.

Survivors include the couple's five children, Billy, 9, Alice, 7, John, 5, Mary, 4, and Clarence Dean, 1, who are with relatives in Des Moines.
In addition, Mr. Austin is survived by his mother; four sisters, Mrs. Vern Moore, of Mt. Ayr, Mrs. Vernetta Dove, Mrs. Virginia Hauge and Mrs. Jean Hunter, all of Des Moines; two brothers, Charles and Clair, both of Des Moines, three half-brothers, Alfred Bodtke, of Orient, Elmer Bodtke, of New Virginia, and Edward Bodtke, of Van Nuys, Calif., and a half-sister, Mrs. Viola Anneberg, of Des Moines.
Double funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Hamilton funeral home at Des Moines with burial in the Glendale cemetery there. The McGovern funeral home was in charge of local arrangements.
