Man Burned to death in tent show Prosperity; picture film catches fire
Ernest Lee Flippin, age 41, better known as "Jack Toby O'Brien,"manager of a tent picture show at Prosperity, was burned to death when the film in his picture machine caught fire last Wednesday night. The picture machine was operated from a truck and due to the fact that there was little room for escape, he was burned before he could be taken from the truck.
Mr. Flippin was brought immediately to the Newberry County Hospital where he died Thursday morning.
He is survived by his widow, the former Ruby Russell, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George and Maude Flippin, Jr., of St. Louis, Mo.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed pending word from Mr.Flippin's parents. These arrangements will be announced later from the James R. Leavell Funeral Home
