George Wrigglesworth Hall was born November 1840 in Thorner, Yorkshire, England. He was the son of George(1809-1890) and Ann Aaron Wrigglesworth (1811-1883). George married Hannah Kendall July 20, 1866 in Sherburn, Yorkshire England.

George and Hannah had 9 children. Eliza, John, Elizabeth and Ada passed away at young ages in England and Aaron, Charles, Emma, James and Annie immigrated to the United States with George and Hannah.

George worked as a farm laborer all of his life in England and then in the United States.
