Obituary

Fletcher Goodrich of Troy township, one of the prominent citizens of Whitley County passed away Thursday at 9:00 a.m. after an illness ranging over eight years, due to nervous trouble.

In the last eight months he had brain and spinal trouble and suffered greatly from the maladies which afflicted him.

The deceased was owner of one of the finest farms in Troy township and was one of the best farmers in the county until his health began to fail. He was one of the progressive men ofhis neighborhood and for nine years filled the position of supervisor in a creditable manner.

Personally, he was a good neighbor, a kind husband and father, a staunch friend and a man whose death, so early in life, is more generally regretted.

The funeral will occur Sunday, leaving the residence at 1:00 p.m. for the Free Methodist Church at Lorane. Rev. D. W. Sanders will preach the sermon and the remains will be laid to rest in the Adams cemetery.
