Elsie Maud Clayton was born in Tooting, London, England to the parents of Henry Parkin Clayton and Matilda McVeigh (nee Drinkwater). Elsie and her mother left England in 1911 and sailed to the United States to join her father in Negaunee MI. Elsie married Louis Bettoni in 1929 in Negaunee, MI. They had one daughter, Carol, who was born in MI. Elsie and Louis moved to Dallas in 1955 to be near their daughter and granddaughter. They lived in the Casa View Area of Dallas. Elsie died from complications from Multiple Sclerosis. Elsie had one sister Florence E Clayton Pearce. She had three granddaughters, Christine, Connie and Charla.
