She can be found on the 1900 US Census for Township 8, Fairfield, SC, age 49, the wife of Robert D. Bolick, age 53. She was born in SC. Children living with her: Robert M, 27, Leland L, 25, Mattie Belle, 17, Harry, 14, Charles T, 13, niece, Maude Lyles12 and two servants. She and Robert have only been married 2 years. She is the mother of 11 with 8 living. Theory: In reviewing the website of Pam Wilson: Descendants of Clement Arledge of Fairfield County, SC at oocities.org, which is well sourced, Generation 3 #9 is Jeptha R. Arledge. Sallie E. Arledge is involved in an 1888 deed. Then a Mrs. S. E. Bolick is the recipient of mill stock in his estate settlement in 1900. She is either his widow (most likely), his daughter or the wife of one of his sons. Additionally, with her interment in the cemetery, she is likely the Sarah E Lyles, daughter of Nathan and Elizabeth, found on the 1870 US Census with her widowed mother and siblings.

She can be found on the 1900 US Census for Township 8, Fairfield, SC at age 49 living with Robert D. Bolick, 53. His obit in The State (01 Aug 1912) states that his 2nd wife was a "Mrs. Dr. Aldrich" which is close enough to Arledge to confirm her first marriage to Jeptha.
