DOUGHERTY Graveside services for Dennie Jane Baldwin, 77, will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at Dougherty Cemetery with the Rev. Willard McCartney Jr. officiating.

She entered this life on Dec. 9, 1930, in Palmer, Okla., and entered into rest on Jan. 2, 2008, in Norman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Alice Hathaway Stephens; a brother, Jim Stephens; and two sisters, Abey Johnson and Mary Stephens.

Raised in the Oak Grove area, she graduated from Sulphur High School in 1949 and married Dalphus Holand Baldwin on July 6, 1952, in Sliver City, N.M.

She lived in Idaho for 32 years and moved to Dougherty in 1988 after retiring as a paralegal. She enjoyed flowers and all of nature, especially birds and gardening.

Survivors include her husband, Dougherty; two sons, Dennis Baldwin and wife, Doris, Rincon, Ga., and David Baldwin; a daughter, Merlyn Fitch and husband, Gary, Dougherty; five grandchildren, Christopher, Jason, Elisha, Courtney and Ashley; and great-grandchild, Zoe.

Bearers are Jason Baldwin, Christopher Baldwin, Gary Fitch, Ray Brooks, Joe Mann and Danny Stephens. Honorary bearers are Joel Mann, Ed Samples, Keith Smith, Neil Gibson and Douglas Akers.
