LINNEUS POSTMASTER DIES
KANSAS CITY, May 19 (AP)---J. N. Carter, 64, postmaster of Linneus, died today at a hotel where he was staying while attending the convention of Missouri postmasters. He apparently suffered a heart attack. (Moberly Monitor Index, Saturday, 5-19-1951, pg.3.)

Mrs. J. D. Carter and Frank Carter of Huntsville went to Linneus today to attend the funeral of their brother, J. N. Carter, postmaster of Linneus, who died Saturday in Kansas City.
