Long time resident of Goodland, Minnesota on Lake on Five. Lover of the outdoors, retired railroader, avid fisherman; owner of Loken Boats, where he rented fishing cabins and boats. Saved at least two children from drowning after falling into the lake; one was saved after he was recovering from a heart attack. Good man. Just returned from Vermilion after attending funeral of his brother in law, Clyde Burdue, victim of the fire aboard the Roger Blough, a ship under construction at the Lorain Shipyards.
