A fourth generation Ventura resident, Reida was born at Port Hueneme Naval Hospital on April 18, 1952, and graduated from Ventura High School, class of 1970. Reida worked for more than 20 years in the food industry as a Deli clerk at Vons and loved the people she met and served there.
Preceded in death by her mother, Ioma "Jean" Jackson, Reida is survived by her husband Daryl Lee Borst Sr., 5 children, Daryl Lee Borst Jr. (Sheila) of Tucson, AZ, Aaron David Borst (Shawna) of Maricopa, AZ, Ryan D Borst (Kellie) of Ventura, Matthew Borst of Ventura, Heather Scholes (Benjamin) of Ventura, father Richard Klemm of Ventura, brother and sisters Richard Klemm of Gainesville, MO, Sheila Jackman of Las Vegas, NV, Roberta Klemm of Creswell, OR, 5 half brothers and sisters, John Klemm, Kathy McClennen, Mary Klemm Plousha, Laura Klemm Smith, Kathy Jackson, and 15 grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at the Ventura Stake Center, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, 3501 Loma Vista Rd. Ventura, on June 11th at 1:00 pm. Reida was laid to rest at the Bakersfield National Cemetery, in Arvin, California.
Reida's warm presence and contagious laugh will be missed by her friends who she always treated like family.
