Mrs Brown Dies At 91 in Madison Hot Springs, Aug 2--Mrs. Laura Brooks Brown, 91, died Sunday at 5 pm at the home in Hot Springs, RFD 1. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 am in the Bethel Christian Church. The Rev Sam Fleming, pastor of the First Christian Church, Asheville, will officiate. Burial will be in the Reynolds Cemetery in Madison County. The body will be taken to the home at 2 pm Tuesday. Mrs Brown was a lifelong resident of Madison County, a member of Balm Grove Methodist Church. Survivors are four sons, Berry, Harrison, and Sidney of Hot Springs, and Weaver of Mars Hill; two daughters, Miss Lura Brown of Creswell and Mrs Edna Ebbs of Wolf Creek, Tennessee; 15 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and one sister, Miss Lura Plemmons of Spartanburg (Lura Rezine Brooks Worsham-added by Anna Richter). Garrett Funeral Home of Waynesville is in charge of arrangements
