Passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Rose Arbor Hospice Facility. Hilda was born December 2, 1926 in Kalamazoo, a daughter of Ray E. and Hazel (Pierce) Sutfin. She attended Roosevelt School and graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1945. She retired from the Upjohn Company after 23 years of service. On September 20, 1946, she married Howard
"Sam" Angel, who survives. Also surviving are her children, JoAnn (Ron) Wormbrand, Jackie (Tim) Diller and James H. Angel; grandsons, Scott Wormbrand and Tom (Jen) Diller; great grandchildren, Brandi, Brad, Evan and Jacob; a sister-in-law, Doris Sutfin; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Laverne, Leland Sr. and Lynn Sutfin; and her sister, Ilah M. Watson. Private family committal services were held at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts should be given to Rose Arbor Hospice Facility, C/O Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, 222 N. Kalamazoo Mall, Kalamazoo, MI 49007.
