Cunningham was born Jan. 4, 1923, in Walton to Ira and Bertha Luce Jeffers. She married Dale Cunningham in Walton on Dec. 26, 1941. He died Dec. 31, 1995.
She and her husband lived for their entire marriage on the same property where she was born. She lived in Tillamook for seven years and settled in Albany in 1998.
She attended Alma Elementary School and a high school near Esmond Creek.
She was a homemaker and worked as a Register-Guard carrier for 13 years.
She was baptized in 1938 and was a member of the Noti Church of Christ. She also belonged to Rebekah Lodge 252.
She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, embroidering and beadwork. She also enjoyed traveling, canning, hunting and gardening, particularly flowers. She especially enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family.
Survivors include three sons, Marvin of Albany and Randy and Gary, both of Walton; a daughter, Janet Taggart of Tillamook; four brothers, Leo Jeffers of Marcola, Buddy and Donald Jeffers, both of Walton, and Henry Jeffers of Prineville; five sisters, Mildred Haynes and Betty Reed, both of Eugene, Alta Bloomquist of Veneta, Lenora Young of Alaska and Evelyn Seidle of Goshen; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
