The Leaf Chronicle (Clarksville, TN) obit posted 17 Apr 1957 reads as follows:

Funeral services for Frances Marion Atkins, 88, were held on Tuesday March 19 at Cadiz, Ky.

Mr. Atkins died on March 16, at the Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz where he had been a patient for six weeks.

He was a native of Trigg County, Ky and a son of the late Tom and Ferbie E Hopkins Atkins. He was mattied to the former Miss Ella Jane Taylor on May 30, 1894, and was a member of Boyd's Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Marshall Atkins; a daughter, Bytha Crews; two brothers, Allison Atkins of Todd County, Ky., and Albert Atkins, Pocahontas, Ark.; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Burial was in the Atkins Cemetery near the Linton Community.
