Obituary: Lewis Albert Broska, son of Mr. and Mrs. James William Franklin Broska, was born in Lincoln County, Kansas, September 13, 1909 and departed this life at Winchester, Oklahoma, on June 18, 1929 at the age of 19 years, 9 months, and 5 days, having been killed by lightning while shocking wheat, death being instantaneous. He had been educated chiefly in Lincoln County. He attended high school in Lincoln, Kansas, one term. He had grown to manhood and was married to Miss Irene Cecilen Roller, at Farrey, Oklahoma, on March 23, 1929. He had worked in a factory at Brighton, Colorado. Wherever he was known he was well liked and made friends readily. In places where he worked he was spoken of with kindness and was ready in his helpfulness to others. He was a member of the Christian Church in Lucas, Kansas and taught a Bible school class there. After going to Oklahoma he organized a new class in the Bible school he attended at the Christian Church at Freedom, Oklahoma. He had no bad habits, but met people with a smile and was pleasing in his manner and disposition. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, Mrs. Irene Cecilen Roller; his mother Mrs. Serena A. McKinney of Lincoln, Kansas; and five sisters, Mrs. Alta Wray of Missouri, Miss Bertha O. Broska, Miss Frances S. Broska, Sarah G. McKinney and Viola I. McKinney, all of Lincoln, Kansas, together with many relatives and friends.
