Funeral services for Mary Joann Burnett will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jackie McQueen officiating. Interment will follow in Ridgeway Cemetery with Brandon Burnett, Eric Burnett, Jeffery Burnett, Franklin Taylor, Jason Mobley, Brad Mobley, Gary Mobley and Christopher Pryor serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Mobley, Tommy Mobley, Patrick Pipkin and Cody Pipkin. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2009 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mrs. Burnett passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Mrs. Burnett was born on January 2, 1937 in Dallas, TX, the daughter of George Ellie and Clydie Marie Moore Mobley. She married Sammy Hubert Burnett, Sr. in Hugo, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Burnett worked in child care for Oak Forest Day Care. Mrs. Burnett was of the Pentecostal faith. She is survived by one son, Sammy Burnett, Jr., of Palmer, daughters, Sherry Burnett and Rhonda Burnett of Mesquite, brothers Glen Mobley of Pine Forest, Danny Mobley of Paris, sisters, Janice Meadlin of Sulphur Springs, Kathy Baird of Lone Oak, Paula Pipkin of Pickton, Alice Pryor of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Sandra Gale Taylor, Brandon Lee Burnett, Erick Wayne Burnett, Jeffery Ryan Burnett, great-grandchildren, Chase Taylor, Angel Burnett, Gage Burnett and special friend Travis Booth of Cooper. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Charles Mobley and Jerry Mobley. Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
