James Edward "Jim" Jobe, a resident of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on January 17, 2013.

He was born in Nashville to the late Thomas Lovel and Lake Audalene Jobe on December 1, 1944.

He loved to tell stories and considered himself a historian.

Jim served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War as a radio telegraph operator & received several medals for his service including the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Jim was retired from the Postal Service after many years of service, and was the Vice-President for the International Relief Center (IRC). He was also an employee of Hertz for the past 6 years.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years; 3 children; 3 grandchildren; & a brother.

A Life Celebration for Jim will be conducted on Tuesday, January 22nd at 2:00pm from the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home.

Interment will be at 1:00pm on Thursday, January 24th at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be held on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00pm and again on Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00pm. HENDERSONVILLE FUNERAL HOME 353 Johnny Cash Parkway, Hendersonville, Tennessee.
