PARIS PIONEER BURIED THURSDAY
Paris, Mo., Jan. 14. — funeral services were conducted Thursday from the home for J. S. Allen, 85, pioneer citizen of Paris, who died Tuesday night. Burial was in the Walnut Grove cemetery.
Judge Allen had been in poor health for many years. For many years he was active in business in the community. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge.
He leaves a widow, who is in ill health, three sons, Charles and Lucien Allen, of Paris, Dr. Fred Allen, of Oklahoma, and two daughters, Mrs. Joe Wayne, of Paris, and Mrs. Downing Barclay, of Chicago.
