Birth: Feb. 5, 1848
Death: Feb. 7, 1914
Douglas
Cochise County
Arizona, USA

Son of Francisco Gracida and Teodora Salinas, both from Oaxaca, Mexico. Felipe was married at least 3 times. His first wife was Heduvije Herrera, married about 1871, His 2nd wife was Adela Celedonia Caballero married 18 May 1878. I suspect he was married at least one more before he married Brigida Rosales-Velasquez

At about age 48 Felipe married Brigida Rosales y Velasquez on 27 May 1896 . Brigida was about 16.

Brigida and Felipe had 4 children; Juana (Juanita), Modesta Josephine, Francisca (Frances) and Rafael (Ralph). All four children were born in Mexico and immigrated permanently to the US in 1912. Sometime after Ralph's birth in 1903, Felipe left Brigida and took the children with him. During the unsettled times in Mexico following the Mexican Revolution, Felipe decided to take the children to Douglas Arizona to live as he could cross the border easily for his work as a Government Inspector for Mexico.

Felipe was a soldier in Mexico's Army in his earlier years and later worked as a Mexican Government Inspector.

In 1914, Felipe died in Douglas, Arizona from Peritonitis caused by a ruptured Gall Bladder.
