Miss Alice Bowen, a resident of Fort Dodge for many years, died Wednesday afternoon in the Carter apartments. In failing health for more than two years, her death was not unexpected. She is survived by four sisters and two brothers. They are Miss Mary Bowen, Mrs. Edward A. Taylor, Mrs. James McIntyre and Philip H. Bowen of this city, Mrs. George A. Williams of Milwaukee and William Bowen of Cherokee. Her parents and one sister preceded her in death. Miss Bowen was employed as a saleslady in Fort Dodge for a number of years and made many friends in her work. For a number of years she was in the ready-to-wear department at the Boston store but of more recent years had been employed at Lilyan's. Funeral services will take place Friday morning at 8:30 at the home of her brother Philip H. Bowen, 316 south Twelfth street, and at 9 o'clock at Sacred Heart church, with the Rev. Father C. P. Sweeney officiating. The body is at the Laufersweiler funeral parlor, but will be taken to the Bowen home late today.
