Served in the U.S. Navy in 1914 during the Mexican Campaign. Also served in Battery B of the 115th Regiment Field Artillery during World War I from Sept. 4, 1917 until April 9, 1919. He was wounded in December, 1918.

Arnie A. Dale, 47, formerly of this county, died at 2:45 o’clock this morning in the Veterans Bureau hospital at Indianapolis following several weeks of illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o’clock—Friday afternoon at the Finn Bros. mortuary at Indianapolis. Friends may call at 1420 Naomi street Indianapolis, after noon tomorrow and until Friday noon when the casket will be returned to the funeral home. Burial will be made in Garland Brook cemetery here and the funeral party is expected to reach the cemetery about 3:30 o’clock.
Mr. Dale was a veteran of the World War and before his illness was employed at the Beach Grove car shops.
Mr. Dale is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mable Dutro Dale, one son Macey, four brothers, Donald, Victor, John and Jann Dale all of Detroit; four sisters, Mrs. Pearl Clifton of Advance, Mrs. Verta Wilson of Port Clifton, Ohio, Mrs. Grace Robertson of Brunswick, and Mrs. Gertrude Neff of Indianapolis.

Funeral services for Arnie A. Dale of Indianapolis, formerly of this city, who died in the Veterans Bureau hospitals at Indianapolis, were held yesterday afternoon at Finn Bros. funeral home in Indianapolis. The Rev. Mrs. Grace Talbott was in charge.
Burial was made in Garland Brook cemetery here and military services were held at the grave by local ex-service men.
The pallbearers were Orville Tullis, Charles Talbott, Clarence Ford, George Stinson, Pailo England and Hansford Elder, all of Indianapolis.
The flower ladies were Mary Ford, Naomi Hall, Dorothy Mahoney, Dorothy Stinson, Dorothy White and Grace Smith, all of Indianapolis.
