BALDWIN - James Thomas Baldwin, 94, Holden, Mo., died yesterday (13 Jun 1956) at the Holden (Missouri) clinic, where he had been a patient two weeks.  Mr. Baldwin was born in Mercer County (Missouri) and had farmed most of his life in Johnson County, Missouri.  He retired when he was 81.  He was a member of the Holden Baptist church.  Surviving are three sons, James William Baldwin, 5231 Ensi, Seventh (Holden); Albert Baldwin, Pleasant Hill (Missouri), and  Harvey E. Baldwin, 5713 Brooklyn (Holden); three daughters, Mrs. Lena Lawson, Harrisonville (Missouri); Mrs. Pearl King, 4422 Moats Drive, Jackson County, and Mrs. Ruby Brodeur, Reseda, Calif.; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.  Services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday (17 Jun 1956) at the Canady-Ropp chapel in Holden.  Burial will be in Holden cemetery.

James Thomas Baldwin was born to James R. Baldwin and Martha Ann Fine. His brothers and sisters are Sarah Ann, William Elias, John Hudson, Franklin, Samuel D. Harvey Clay, and Myrtle Daisy.


James married Amelia Ann Saling. Their children are James William, Lena Moore, Albert Leonard, Harvey Ellis, Archie Lee, Pearl M., and Ruby M.
