Enda Shifflett was born in Dublin, Texas on August 8, 1918 to Ezra and Alice Malon. Enda is preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters. Enda grew up on a farm. Her father and mother were share croppers. Enda learned quickly to work and help around the house. As a young teenager, she worked outside the home to help her mother raise her younger siblings. At the age of 20, she met her future husband Dee Shifflett, he then moved to Arizona and sent for Enda. She traveled by train to meet him and they married in Yuma, AZ in 1939 at the age of 21. They had two children La Nora and Ina Bee. They settled in Mesa, AZ in 1946 and raised their daughters. Although Enda moved to Arizona, she always kept in touch with all her siblings, and they made frequent visits to Texas. She also kept in touch with other relatives in different states. When Enda felt her girls were old enough she went back to work. Enda retired from Sunkist Citrus. Enda and her husband Dee enjoyed spending time together. They loved to camp, fish and travel. Enda loved to bake and cook. At Christmas time she would make some delicious divinity and everyone's favorite peanut brittle. She enjoyed baking and mailing these gifts to family every Christmas. Enda enjoyed having people over at the house. She always had home baked goodies to offer her company. Enda is preceded in death by her husband Dee in 2004, after 66 years of marriage. Enda truly had a love for life. She enjoyed people of all ages, especially babies. She always found beauty in every person. Rest in Peace Enda. You will be missed
