Andrew Anderson, a well known and highly respected citizen of Woodhull died at his home Saturday afternoon November 5 at the age of 74 years. Friday after noon he was seized with a paralytic stroke.

The deceased was born in Sweden on January 6, 1837 and came to America in 1852 settling in Andover township. On January 27, 1861, he was married to Miss Wendell. Twelve years ago he moved to town where he has resided ever since his wife died 8 years ago. He was a member of the Methodist church at Andover.

His death came as a heavy stroke upon his children, other relatives and friends, but the hope of a rest that remains for the people of God is a great comfort. In the death of Mr. Anderson the community has lost a kind friend and the children a true and loving father.

Franklin, Mrs. Jennie Swanson and Mrs. Laura Carlson all of Holdrege, Nebraska and all of whom were present at the funeral.

The funeral was held at the residence at 12 noon on Wednesday the sermon being preached by the Rev. Theodore Moberg of the Swedish Methodist church at Andover.t

He is recorded in Swedish records as Anders Magnus Carlsson the son of Carl Petter Anderson and Christina Maria Månsdotter. The whole family took the last name of their father Carl Petter Anderson when they came to America in 1852.
