Mrs. Edna M. Burton, 87, of 329 N. Monroe died at 2:45 AM yesterday at McDonough Districet Hospital.
Service will be at 2 PM tomorrow at Scott Church, near Plymouth. The Rev. Ernest Louderman and the Rev. Walter Batty will officiate, and burial will be in Scott Cemetery
Friends may call at Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Chapel until noon tomorrow and one hour before services at the church.
She was born in Schuyler County June 30, 1890, a daughter of Aden and Mary Jane Robinson Mason. She married Russell Burton March 29, 1910. He died in 1940.
Surviving is one granddaughter, Mrs. Shirley Meiss of Bartonville.
Two sons, Robert and Lawrence; a daughter, Mary Louise; one brother, Edward; and three sisters, Nellie Woods, Naoma Robinson and Alice Lindsey preceded her in death.
Mrs. Burton had lived here since 1942 and had been a cook at Western Illinois University. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church here.
