Funeral services for Mrs. Leonard (Hazel A.) Wolfer of Canby route 2, were held Saturday morning in Canby with Rev. Dayton Loomis officiating. Interment was at Zion Memorial Park.

Mrs. Wolfer died last week Wednesday at an Oregon City hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born May 2, 1918, at Marquam to Charles and Pauline Swartout. She was married September 24, 1937, at Raymond, Wash., to Leonard Wolfer who survives. They had lived at Aurora and Monitor before moving to Marks Prairie district in 1944. She was a member of the Canby Methodist church, Marks Prairie Woman's and Mothers' club, and a 4-H leader.

Besides her widower she is survived by three children; her mother, Mrs. Pauline Swartout at Marquam; eight brothers and sisters, Mrs. Pete (Kathleen) Matovich of Cloverdale, Cal., Howard Swartout of Scotts Mills, Clifford Swartout of Marquam, Mrs. Roy (Thelma) Freed of Silverton, Mrs. Harold (Elsie) Wolfe of Portland, Mrs. Charles (Eunice) McEwen of Spokane, Wash., Madora Swartout of San Diego, Cal., and Mrs. Marcella McEwen of West Linn.
