Shared monument with husband James M. Ball
Mrs. J. M. Ball died Friday night May 6th 1921, after an illness of only two or three days, and was laid to rest Sunday afternoon in the Mausoleum in Oakland Cemetery. Funeral services were conducted from the Baptist Church at 3 o’clock by the pastor, Rev. R. Maurice Jennings. The large concourse of people at the funeral attested the esteem in witch this good woman was held, and a host of friends join us in extending sympathy to the bereaved family and relatives.
Mrs. Ball had spent most of her life in Russellville, and was a consistent member and worked in the Baptist church.
She is survived by her husband, J. M. Ball who is proprietor of the Russellville Iron Works and has been active in business and public affairs in Russellville for many years, and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Van Deeren of Oklahoma and Miss Norma Ball. Mrs. Van Deeren was visiting at the home of her parents on River Street when Mrs. Ball was taken ill, and her husband arrived Sunday morning to attend the funeral. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. T. A. Davis, of this city, and a brother, Dr. Walton of Benton.
