She was born July 29, 1927, in Bucklin, to Shelley A. and Helen G. Shearer Nease.
A longtime Denver resident, formerly of Goodland, Mrs. Coen had owned and operated Muhlheim Jewelry in Goodland, worked at KLOE-TV in Goodland in the early 1970s and also served a term as probate/county and juvenile court judge for Sherman County. After moving to Denver in 1975, she worked for the Children's Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Federated Music Club in Goodland.
In April 1947, she married William P. Coen.
A memorial service was in Denver, with inurnment taking place later in Bucklin Cemetery.
