Ione was born 01 May 1910 and was married 2 times. Her first marriage was to Frederick William Kirchner Jr., they were married on 02 June 1927. Her second marriage was to Frank Delbert Conway on 23 January 1935. She had 1 son Ronald Eugene with Frederick Kirchner, Ronald passed on 01 Oct 2009. Ronald was raised by Frank Conway as his own son. Ione had four children with Frank, two sons; 1)Charles Delbert born 23 Oct 1936 died 31 May 2007 and 2)David Francis born 17 Oct 1947 Their two daughters; 1)Nancy Ann born 23 Mar 1935 died 5 June 2003, and 2)Sandra Lea born 25 Jun 1943.
Ione and Frank moved to California in 1945 from Des Moines, Iowa and settled in Van Nuys for a short time, then moved to Canoga Park, where they lived until their passing.
Ione had one sister, Allie Katherine Bedwell Pryor born 03 Apr 1903, died 08 August 1996, and one brother Ivyl Orlin Bedwell born 06 Jan 1905 died 05 January 1992.
Ione and Frank were active in the VFW for many years. Ione was president of the VFW Women's Auxiliary.
Ione worked for the LA Unified School District for over 35 years most of which was spent as School Cafeteria Manager.
She loved doing crossword puzzles and reading. She didn't watch much TV other than the News, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud. She loved to watch "Murder She Wrote" as did most of us.
