Originally buried at Old Pickers Cemetery, St Louis, the city ordered graves moved due to Cholera, many were not, or put into mass grave, records are lost. Roosevelt High School was built on the property. A memorial stone has been placed on top of his father's grave at Kamper Cemetery, St Clair, Mo.
