Patricia was born to Loche V. Hibler and Inez Lillian Akers in Kansas City, Mo. They later divorced and Inez remarried Carl Edward Peterson on New Years Eve in 1938. Daddy Ed adored Patricia and loved her as his own. Patricia spent most of her youth traveling and visiting three sets of grandparents, aunts & uncles, and cousins.
Patricia met and married Cecil C. Graves on September 30, 1954. Both worked at the family business owned and operated by her parents, Inez and Ed Peterson, in KCK. The business, West Haven Motel and Restaurant, was her home away from home. Patricia also owned and operated a unique trampoline center in KCK named Pat's Pop-Up near 47th and State Avenue that was very popular with kids of all ages.
In 1956, Patricia and Cecil blessed all the grandparents with a grandson, Terryl Pat. They were members of Grace Lutheran Church and Terryl attended Grace Lutheran School. Sadly, all three were killed in a tragic car accident in 1964 while on the way for a family vacation in Colorado.
