Evan James Alexander, 20, Corydon, died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at 10:45 p.m. at University Hospital in Louisville.

Born April 22, 1991, in Philadelphia, he was the son of Dennis J. (Jimmy) Alexander of Corydon and Connie Glidewell of Palmyra.

He was a 2009 graduate of Corydon Central High School and was employed as a cook at O'Charley's restaurant in Corydon.

Survivors besides his parents include his fiancée, Sara Lee Allen of Corydon; a brother, Dakota Alexander of Palmyra; two sisters, Cheyenne Alexander of Palmyra and Felicia Ademic of New Albany; and grandparents Charles and Judy Taylor of Corydon and Philip and Carolyn Glidewell of Jeffersonville.

Visitation: Thursday, June 2, from noon to 8 p.m. and Friday, June 3, after 8 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.

Funeral: Friday, June 3, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

Officiant: Pastor Paul Greer.

Pallbearers: Jimmy Alexander, Philip and Brendan Glidewell, Brayden Ritchie, Randy Baker, Kevin Tweedy, Nick Camp and Brian Flick.

Honorary pallbearer: Dakota Alexander.

The family suggests memorial gifts to the Evan Alexander Fund at First Harrison Bank to help with funeral expenses.
