Richard Mont Hunter, 74, of Leon, died last week at the Huntington C&O Hospital following an extended illness.
Born Dec. 18, 1886, in Boyd County, he was the son of James and Temperance Ison Hunter.
Funeral services were conducted last Wednesday at the Malone Funeral Home with Jack Archer officiating. Burial was in the Pope Cemetery at Leon.
Survivors include the wife, Cora Whitten Hunter; one daughter, Mrs. Melvina Lewis of Raceland; two sons, Frank S. Hunter of Barboursville, W. Va., and James M. Hunter of Leon; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
