Unis Adams Allen, a Great Man of Faith, began his earthly life journey on the 7th day of April, 1927, in Linden, Texas, and returned to be with his Heavenly Father early on the 5th day of January, 2013. He was the seventh of nine children, to Ed and Jemima Allen. He served his country in the United States Army from 1947 until his discharge in 1951.

Unis Allen was joined in marriage to Rosie Lee Allen over sixty years ago and Pasco, Washington became their home in 1952.

During Unis Allen's celebration of life he attended Morning Star Baptist Church where he worshiped and praised the Lord Jesus Christ, for well over 50 years. He truly loved the Lord and did not mind sharing his faith. He participated in the Choir, Usher Board, Deacon Board, and most notably, his passion, as Superintendent of the Sunday school. He assisted with the Easter egg hunt by assuring that there were plenty of eggs available for the children. He was extremely caring, helpful, and hardworking. Unis had an uncanning ability to win people over with his outstanding character, and beautiful smile. He loved to sing as demonstrated with his participation with the Golden Gospel Aires and his dedication to leading the Sunday morning devotion service with songs like This little light of mine, Let Jesus lead you, and Get Right Church and Let's go home, just to mention a few. He also loved traveling to the many church conventions around the country.

Unis Allen worked for years at the Hanford Site in Richland, WA. He also worked at and retired from Boise Cascade Paper Mill where he operated the fork lifts. After retirement, Unis Allen loved working in his yard, gardening, and he loved baking treats such as buttermilk pies, pecan pies, and pound cakes.
