Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial to follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House.
Myrtle was born December 8, 1921 in Chilhowie, MO the daughter of Elmer B. and Goldie E. (Endicott) Stewart. She was employed with the Independence and Raytown School District as a cook and later worked at Resthaven Nursing Home (The Grove's). Myrtle was a member life long member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Laurel Club. She enjoyed cooking and baking.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her first husband in 1971, James Emery Chadwick; her second husband, Lloyd Jennings Deitsch in 2001; seven brothers; five sisters; and her parents.
Survivors include her sons, Emery "Gene" Chadwick and wife Barbara, Harold Chadwick and wife Patricia; step sons, William Deitsch and wife Louann, Lloyd Deitsch, Jr., Robert Dietsch and wife Sharon, and Donald Deitsch and wife Suzy; 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother, R.E. Stewart; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family.
