Mary L. Shockley Blake, 84, died Sat-Mar 19, 2016 at 12:20pm, at Monticello Healthcare.

She was born Mar 18, 1932 in Carroll Co., IN, to the late John & Mildred Fair Shockley. Her marriage was to Edward Morgan Blake in Frankfort, on Aug 21, 1948, and he preceded her in death on May 12, 1999. She lived for many years in Pittsburg, and in Lafayette for 11 years, before moving to Monticello this past December. She was the head cook at the former Pittsburg Elementary School for many years, after its closing, moved to the Delphi Middle School cafeteria, after 30 years of service, she retired in 1993. She enjoyed word search puzzles, solitaire card games, flower gardening, and bird watching. She enjoyed Purdue University Basketball.

Surviving: daughter-Candace & George Collins of Logansport; son-Tim & Kristine Blake of Greensboro, MD; sisters: Ida & Art Lane of Delphi, Maxine Stigers of Lafayette, Betty Brass of Redding, CA; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by 3 brothers, 1 sister, and a great grandson.

Services: Friends may call Friday from 5-8pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Service there Saturday 10:30am, Torey Collins officiating. Burial at Hickory Grove Cemetery, rural Carroll Co.
