Nellie Benson
ROGERSVILLE — Nellie Ruth Cross Benson, 65, Myers Subdivision, entered into rest Monday (Sept. 6, 1999) at Hawkins County Memorial Hospital, emergency room, following an extended illness.
She was a member of Spires Chapel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Benson; parents, Edward Shields and Maggie Ferrell Cross; and two brothers, Robert S. and Dewey Cross.
Surviving are three daughters, Brenda Benson and Melody Benson, both of Rogersville and Beverly Menguc, Ann Arbor, Mich.; one grandson, Jordan X. Jarvis, Rogersville; two sisters, Mary E. Jarvis and Sue M. Elkins, both of Rogersville; two brothers, J.H. Cross, Rogersville and Charles E. Cross, Loudon, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Colboch-Price Funeral Home in Rogersville. Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. John North officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Highland Cemetery.
