Charles H. Barger, 63, died suddenly of a heart attack yesterday aftemoon about 5 o'clock at his home near Indian Springs, Tenn. He had been in declining health for several months but death was unexpected. Mr. Barger was a farmer and a lifelong resident of Sullivan County and was one of the best known citizens in the community in which he lived. He was a member of the New Haven Lutheran Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Betty C. Holt Barger, and one brother, D. A. Barger, Blountville, and a half-sister and brother, Richard Barger and Cordia Barger, of Indian Springs. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body will be removed to the residence this aftemoon at 3 o'clock from the Paul Cook Funeral Home. BRISTOL HERALD-COURIER, 13 March 1945.
