Oscar W. (Dub) Fegett, 87, of Midland, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2007, in Midland. Visitation will be from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland. A graveside service will be held at 9:00 AM Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at the Resthaven Memorial Park Midland with Kevin Fox, officiating.
Oscar was born on December 6, 1919, in Fannin County, Texas to Albert and Mary Thomason Fegett. He married Ellen Morton on August 30, 1958 in Midland. During WWII he was in the Pacific Theater. He also served during the Korean War. He worked for the Midland Fire Department and owned his own wallpaper business. He retired in 2000 as a school crossing guard.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen of Midland; a sister, Elsie Johnson and her husband, James of The Colony; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Leon Fegett, a sister, Freda Germer and a nephew.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
