He was survived by his wife, Amy and son, William Lavoy Abbe; his father, John William Abbe and five sisters; Cora Cordelia Abbe, Sally M. Abbe, Frances M. Abbe, Mary Katherine Abbe and Mabel Claire Abbe. He was preceded in death by his mother. Mary Etta Curry Abbe.
Burial was in the Judson Cemetery, Cayuga, Anderson, Texas.
